The Easiest Fall Outfit

Madewell Chambray Shirt // LOFT (again) Skirt // Melissa Button Frye Boots // Ray-Ban Aviators // Sole Society Backpack // Monogram Signet Ring // Marc Jacobs Watch

Hiiiii! I feel like I have been away from y’all forever, but really, it’s only been three days. I was planning to do all kinds of advance writing on planes to and from Nashville this weekend, but I really should have known that I only do one thing on planes: pass out. In a rare exception, I did meet a super sweet girl from London on my way home to have deep discussions about life, culture, and the changing times with. She initially thought I was in her seat, and once we got that sorted out and sat down, we were besties. I ended up teaching her how to write an American address and then taking her card to mail for her. 🙂

But anyway, let’s talk about my easiest go-to fall outfit after a sweater and jeans: a chambray shirt and cute printed skirt with boots. It’s possible I like this outfit even more when floral prints are involved, but I’m really into the colors of this striped skirt for fall. It just screams October. I’m also a firm believer in mixing black and navy, so I think you could throw on a pair of black (or navy) tights and a sweater with it when it gets colder.

If you want to know how I rolled my sleeves using the J. Crew tuck method, I learned from Carly.

Also, LOFT does it again! I talked about how Mom and I went to the mall old-school style a week and a half ago, and really LOFT had better stuff than anyone, which was ironic since there’s a LOFT outside my office front door and in my neighborhood. Ah well. It’s also inexpensive already and then they have great sales on top of that. Long live LOFT!

The backpack was a birthday gift from Kathy which you might recognize from my wish list. I love it! Thanks, Kathy!
