How I Decorate for Fall!

There is finally a cool breeze today, and the pumpkins and mums are out at the Marks home! I showed you how I “spring-ify” our space back in March, and today I am revealing our fall look! Making subtle changes to the apartment to celebrate the seasons makes me so happy.

First I found these darling mini mums at Home Depot and filled our window boxes with some yellow and orange fall love.

Of course, you have to throw some pumpkins out there, and then I got rid of our more summery lanterns and kept these Sleepy Hollow lanterns from Pottery Barn. I filled them with some hay, leaves, and fall-colored berries from Michael’s and told Will it’s totally ok to burn candles in a pile of hay.

The small lantern is a sweet centerpiece for our outdoor table.

Inside, our dining room centerpiece is filled with mini pumpkins through Thanksgiving (naturally)!

Then I fill our hurricanes with more hay, leaves and berries. This year, I also picked up these flameless flickering taper candles and stuck them into the base of the hurricane with sticky tack. They are so beautiful at night, and they won’t set my hay on fire! fall-decor-6

Ta-da!

I wait until October 1st to bust out some subtle Halloween decorations, like Frank, my Frankenstein that Will thinks is super cheesy but I rescued from donation death in our last move. 🙂
