Friday Favorites No. 2

Happy Friday, people! This was a great week full of 80-degree days and lots of time at the dog park. Unfortunately Will had an insane week at the office, but we did get to take a break to take dinner over to some dear friends and their 10-day-old daughter. She was amazing! It is just incredible to see what a tiny human looks like in their first couple of days on Earth. She slept, and we watched Georgetown basketball, caught up, and ate enchiladas. What, like this newborn thing is hard?

Our Wedding Album!

03.11.16 (Friday Favorites #2)-19

Look what came this week from Mike Cassimatis! We got a wedding album with our photography package, and she’s beautiful! She’s made of white Italian leather and has super-thick, heavy-duty pages. This is not an anthology of the entire wedding, but it’s a perfect “greatest hits” quick look at the day to keep on the coffee table for guests. I may order a more comprehensive album someday to bore the grandchildren with, but I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of this one! Here are a bunch of shots of it, because she was a good model. 🙂

Last Week of Our Supper Club

03.11.16 (Friday Favorites #2)-3

Our friend Elizabeth took this a couple weeks ago when she was in town! Please excuse the blurry cell phone quality. It is full of grainy love.

This week was the last meeting of our marriage care supper club, and we are going to miss it! A “more experienced” couple from our church invited us to participate in the trial run of this group for young married couples, and we are so glad! Every Friday (this week it was Thursday, though), they had us over for a delicious meal and marriage-focused Bible study. We were already friends with these two other couples when we started, but now they are absolutely some of our best friends in the city. We are so thankful for them and for the Moores for investing so much in us!

Pippa’s New Style!

Pippa was feeling like she wanted an update for spring. You know, something more manageable and maybe even a little trendy to go into the warmer weather with. And also, let’s be honest, she was starting to look like Ed Sheeran on a particularly bad hair day. So she took a day at the doggy spa, and she wanted to show off her before and after for y’all!2016-09-17_0008It might be a little short, but she seems to like her new look, and hair grows. 🙂

Fighting with Technology

Ugh. Basically, my computer started off this week on life support. I had the bright idea that it was time to upgrade my operating system, and it was really bad news bears. I got the spinning pinwheel of death every. time. I. clicked. something. To make matters worse, my external HD was also just a total mess, since my photos were only in there by number. There was no finding anything on it. Aaaaand, I was trying to migrate from iPhoto to Photos to top it off. I was just in way over my head.

So I bought a new external HD and spent a lot of my week waiting for things to upload to it and to dropbox, trashing the photos from my laptop, going into the trash and trashing them again…it was tedious. But I think we’re almost out of the woods and have more organized photos to boot!

Royal Ski Photos!

Will and Kate Ski Trip

Umm, since these are all over the internet, I’m going to call public domain.

I know you’ve already seen these, but you know what? This was a newsworthy event of my week. You can never get enough of pictures of the Cambridge family. There’s just too much preciousness in this photo for me to handle all at once. Also, they ski in goggles, and are those duck boots I spy on Kate? The Royals! They’re just like us!
