Learning Some New Styles with my 8 in 1 Curling Wand

Happy Thursday! Today I present to you, my first beauty post! As you know, I’ve been really working on figuring out what to do with my hair this year. After many years of pretty easy, curly style, it has suddenly gone limp on me. My mission is two-fold: products and styling. Luckily, the girls at Irresistible Me sent me this awesome Sapphire 8 in 1 Curling Wand to work on the styling part! You may remember my teaser from this post.

How It Works

The curling wand comes in this amazing case that would be so easy to throw in a suitcase. There’s the base, a stand for it to sit on while in use, a heat protectant glove, and 8 attachments to create different styles. The attachments just twist on and off and lock into place to create a normal curling wand. I love that this is so versatile while being so compact. It’s truly like having 8 curling irons in a convenient little case.

What I Thought

The curling wand heats up really quickly, and I love that you can control the temperature on it digitally like an oven. I probably shouldn’t have, but I just heated mine all the way up to over 400 degrees. Oops.

Next, I just threw my hair in a bun and started on small sections, one at a time. I heard it was best to turn the wand upside down and always curl away from your face, so that’s what I did.

I used the glove for awhile, then got annoyed with it, took it off, and got a nice burn on my hand. So I would exercise extreme caution or wear the glove!

Curling wands always create that little flip at the end of the curl that isn’t quite perfect, and I kind of like that for a more natural look.

The whole process was really quick and easy, (and I’m sure it would have been more so if I hadn’t been filming photos of it), which I think I might attribute to how hot this thing can get. Just make sure to use heat protectant first!

I always end with the hair flip tousle and Living Proof’s PhD Dry Shampoo (even if my hair is clean, just for volume) at the roots.

The “After”

Ta-da! Not overly perfect, natural-looking waves.

The best part is that all the different attachments to the curling wand create different looks, and I haven’t even tried them all yet! The curling wand is even on sale today for $70 off, and I think it’s a great answer to versatility if you like to have more than one curling iron in your drawer. Treat yourself or someone else!

Irresistible Me sent me this curling wand to review, but as always, the opinions are all my own!

Any more styling tips for me as I embark on this adult journey to rediscovering how to do my hair?
