A Few of the Cutest Shops I Visited in Charleston

You might note that this post is about the cutest shops I visited in Charleston, not just the cutest shops in Charleston. I just don’t want to say anything too definitive, because this city is so full of gems! Charleston is everyone’s favorite place to visit right now for a reason, and the shops that have been popping up lately definitely reflect that. I spent a wonderful morning checking out some of the places on King Street I had heard so much about, and they did not disappoint! Here are a handful of my favorites.

Ok obviously any Lilly Pulitzer signature store is always a favorite, but that’s not really unique to when I’m in Charleston. 🙂

Candlefish

I had heard such fun things about Candlefish’s candle-making classes, which reminded me fondly of an adorable candle-making shop Will and I frequented during our newlywed days in Columbus. But what I didn’t expect was how many cool and quirky gifts and surcees Candlefish carries!

There were so many things beyond candles to browse: jewelry, art, notebooks, cards, etc. If I hadn’t had so many shops to see and a Drybar appointment to make, I could have spent a very long time there!

Moon and Lola

Moon and Lola is actually based in North Carolina, but this was the first stand-alone M&L shop I’d ever been to! Y’all know I love a good monogram and have had my eye on some keychains from here for a very long while. The options here are endless, and they even have a goldendoodle charm! I love that you can customize everything to reflect your loyalties in such a fun and colorful way.

Of course, M&L also has way more than just keychains and charm jewelry: i.e. lots of colorful Kate Spade gifts as well!

The Skinny Dip

And now for the buzziest boutique on the block, The Skinny Dip! This Nantucket-based Charleston edition has been all over social media, so you’ve probably heard about it already. But I love a good one-stop-shop for tons of different brands I like, and that’s what this was! The two founders’ brands, Beau & Ro and Ellsworth and Ivey were both new to me and right up my alley! The Beau and Ro clutches came in so many fun patterns, and I love the demure Draper James-esque Ellsworth and Ivey skirts. It was fun to see their collection of Ashley Brooke Designs and Kiel James Patrick stuff in person, plus, they have a cute coffee bar and patio!

Other Shops I Checked Out

Lily: Dainty, French jewelry, cards, and gifts.

Hampden: Very high end boutique that was fun to window-shop!

Kids on King and Sugar Snap Pea: In all honesty I would so much rather shop for Baby Girl than myself right now, so these were my favorites!

I’ll be back soon with all the fun places we ate and things we did, but in the meantime, you can see all my Charleston posts here!

Do you have any favorite Charleston shops to add?
